Bottle Shop

Your own shop,
on your own address.

Bottle builds a website for your business from the products, prices and delivery days you already keep in it. Shoppers order and pay online, and each order arrives in Bottle ready to go out.

Products and stock

Your shelf, built from
the products you sell.

Switch on Sell on Bottle Shop for a product and it goes on your shelf, with its pictures, its category and its price including VAT. Products stay off until you switch them on, so a deposit or a delivery charge never goes up for sale by mistake.

A Bottled gas shelf of eight cylinders, each with its gas, its price including VAT and a note that the price is with an empty to swap. The 19kg propane says it is £47.00 each when you buy ten or more.
The shelf · Bottled gas
The page for a 19kg propane cylinder: £52.00 for one to four, £49.50 for five to nine and £47.00 for ten or more, six for £307.00, how the deposit comes back, and a question about swapping an empty.
A product with prices by quantity

Low stock and out of stock

Shoppers see Low stock or Out of stock, as your stock rules say. When something sells out, stop selling it or take back-orders.

Prices by quantity

The quantity breaks you set on a product show on its page, so a shopper buying six sees the price for six.

Categories and favourites

Sort the shelf into categories, and feature up to twelve products on your home page.

Deposits and empties

Empties and deposits,
sorted in the basket.

Shoppers buying a cylinder are asked if they have an empty to swap. Their answer sets the price, so the basket is right before they pay.

An empty to swap

They swap it for a full one and pay for the gas alone.

No empty

The deposit is added, and the basket says it is refunded when they return the cylinder.

A cylinder back later

Bottle knows when each cylinder went out and works out the refund by the rule you set: in full, in part, or less the longer they kept it.

Trade accounts

Trade customers sign in
and order on account.

Pubs, caravan parks and other businesses can apply for a trade account from your shop. You approve each one in Bottle, as a new trade customer or joined to one you already deliver to.

Signed in, they see their trade prices and the rates you agreed with them. On pay-later terms they choose Pay by invoice, and the order is invoiced like any other.

  • Their own prices
  • Their saved addresses
  • Pay by invoice or by card
Checkout for a signed-in trade customer: Pay by invoice is chosen, on usual terms of 30 days, with prices shown without VAT and a Place order button that says there is nothing to pay now.

Card payments

Card, Apple Pay
and Google Pay.

Shoppers pay on Stripe's secure checkout, through your own Stripe account. Apple Pay and Google Pay show on the phones that have them, as your Stripe settings allow.

Card details go to Stripe, never to Bottle. The order arrives in Orders marked From your shop, and the shopper gets an email with a reference to track it.
